تقوم الوكالة الأميركية للتنمية الدولية (USAID) من خلال برنامج دعم المجتمع المحلّي (CSP) في لبنان، بتوفير منح دراسية في التعليم المهني والتقني وفرص تدريب للباحثين عن عمل في البقاع والجنوب  والشمال. منذ عام 2019، يساهم البرنامج في تطوير وتنمية القوى العاملة من خلال تسهيل الوصول الى تعليم تقني ومهني عالي المستوى ضمن ثلاثة قطاعات واعدة للنمو والتوظيف في لبنان: الرعاية الصحية المنزلية، وتكنولوجيا المعلومات (IT). وصيانة وتصليح المعدات الصناعية،

وضمن إطار برنامج تنمية القوى العاملة (WFD) البالغة قيمته 7.3 مليون دولار،  قدمت USAID 190 منحة دراسية للطلاب المهتمين بالتعليم والتدريب المهني والتقني في هذه القطاعات الثلاث حتى اليوم..

بالشراكة مع  معاهد خاصة للتعليم التعليم المهني والتقني ، يعمل  البرنامج  على تصميم مناهج مهنية جديدة  ذات صلة بهذه القطاعات ،  إضافة الى تطوير معدات التعليم و  تعزيز البنية التحتية لمكاتب التوظيف و الخدمات المرتبطة بها  في 10 مؤسسات تعليمية ومهنية خاصة في لبنان,كما يقوم البرنامج ببناء شراكات مع المؤسسات الصغيرة والمتوسطة الحجم ذات إمكانيات ومؤشرات واضحة للنمو والمهتمين بتوفير  تدريب وظيفي و فرص عمل لمتلقي هذه المنح الدراسية.. بالإضافة إلى تغطية كافة  الرسوم الدراسية، يوفر البرنامج للطلاب تأمين صحي، ومصروف شهري (مواصلات أو مصاريف أخرى) خلال فترة الدراسة و التدريب،  كذلك يوفر جهاز كمبيوتر أو جهاز لوحي لتسهيل التعلم عن بعد. . بحلول عام 2022، يهدف برنامج CSP USAID/ إلى تعزيز مهارات التوظيف وفرص العمل لما لا يقل عن 1000 لبناني من المجتمعات المحرومة.

إن فرص المنح الدراسية متاحة حاليًا لدورة صيانة وتصليح المعدات الصناعية القادمة في معهد تمكين المهني (Tamkeen) في طرابلس ومعهد قرطباوي (Cortbawi) في جونيه. تتضمن هذه الدورة التدريبية  التي تمتد على فترة ستة أشهر، خمس مناهج: المكونات الهيدروليكية، والمكونات الهوائية، والكهرباء الهوائية ، المكونات الكهربائية-الهوائية/ الكهربائية – الهيدروليكية ، والكهرباء ، والميكانيك. لمزيد من المعلومات حول تقديم الطلبات،  يرجى  زيارة موقع CSP الالكتروني.

USAID Enhances Access to Quality Technical and Vocational Education and Training in the Beqaa, South, and North Lebanon

USAID, through its Community Support Program (CSP), is providing technical and vocational education scholarship and internshi

p opportunities to job seekers in the Beqaa, South Lebanon, and North Lebanon. Since 2019, CSP has been contributing to workforce development by facilitating quality access to vocational courses in three promising sectors for growth and employment: home-based health care, industrial repair and maintenance, and information & communication technology (ICT). Under the $7.3 million Workforce Development (WFD) program, USAID’s CSP has so far awarded 190 scholarships to students pursuing technical and vocational education training (TVET) education

In partnership with private (TVET) institutes, WFD is designing and delivering new curricula relevant to these sectors. WFD works to enhance the associated learning equipment and job placement infrastructure and services of 10 private TVETs across Lebanon. The program also partners with small and medium enterprises with demonstrated growth potential who are interested in providing internship and job opportunities to scholarship recipients. In addition to full tuition coverage, students receive health insurance, a monthly stipend covering the transportation fees, and a computer or tablet for the facilitation of online learning. By 2022, USAID’s CSP aims to improve the employability skills of and career opportunities for at least 1,000 Lebanese residents from underserved communities

Commenting on the importance of this program in supporting technical and vocational education in Lebanon, especially during the current economic crisis, Father Hanna Kanaan, Principle of the Foyer de la Providence Technical School in South Lebanon, commented: “It is vital to expand local production and maintenance industries in Lebanon to contribute to a better economy, as well as acknowledge that technical and vocational education is a necessary factor in rebuilding our country

Scholarship opportunities are currently available for the upcoming Industrial Repair and Maintenance course at the Tamkeen technical and vocational institute in Tripoli and the Cortbawi institute in Jounieh. This five-month course includes five modules: hydraulics, pneumatics, electro-pneumatics & electro-hydraulics, electricity, and mechanics. USAID’s CSP is a seven-year, $80 million program that is carrying out a range of rapid response and community development projects in partnership with municipalities, civil society organizations, and the private sector.
