“Art in Motion” dissipates darkness with art

Through “Shadows and lights” … sculptures by Anachar Basbous

  Lorsque les ombres entourent une population destinée à trouver la joie dans chaque vie, et lorsque les ténèbres l’emportent sur le bonheur et l’amour, un phénix émerge, prenant la forme d’une sculpture artistique, répandant la lumière sur les âmes qui ont perdu le sens de la vie au centre des circonstances qui suffoquent le Liban.. Art in Motion, l’association à but non lucratif dont l’objectif est d’établir un dialogue culturel à travers l’art, dans l’espace public, a choisi la lumière sur l’obscurité et a décidé de remonter le moral de tous les Libanais, en organisant « Entre ombres et lumières » (Between Shadows and Lights), une exposition du sculpteur renomé Anachar Basbous, qui a été inauguré le 8 octobre 2021 au Domaine Ixsir

L’exposition, mise en place par Art in Motion, dont la seule mission est de rétablir l’espoir aux âmes libanaises obscurcies, présentait des sculptures conçues afin d’éclairer ce beau pays, Le Liban, et pour rappeler le monde que cette petite nation n’abrite pas sous les catastrophes et les perturbations, mais plutôt elle est le foyer d’esprits impeccables, capables d’élever son nom haut, ramenant la gloire de la scène artistique libanaise.

Pendant le vernissage, les passionnés d’art ont erré dans le paysage de rêve du Domaine Ixsir, contemplant les sculptures et leur signification sur les sons musicaux luxuriants de Djette, sirotant leurs boissons au coucher du soleil, lorsque tous les rêves se dénouent et que des souhaits pleins d’espoir émergent

Commentant le vernissage, Rania Tabbara, fondatrice d’Art in Motion, a déclaré : « Il est temps pour nous de laisser tous nos chagrins derrière nous et de nous rappeler que nous sommes un peuple d’espoir, de résilience et de courage. Nous, Art in Motion, souhaitons rappeler aux Libanais leur joie de vivre à travers cette exposition. Entre ombres et lumières redonnera espoir à la communauté et notre objectif est de restaurer la foi en notre avenir

De sa part, le sculpteur Anachar Basbous a décrit ses sculptures en disant que « Chaque coup de tailleur de pierre est une tentative de creuser les ténèbres de nos âmes tristes. Et à chaque virage, la lumière est faite pour remettre notre communauté sur pied. Mes sculptures ici aujourd’hui rappellent que peu importe la dureté de la pierre, une belle statue émergera magnifiquement à la fin

Entre les ombres et les lumières restera ouvert au public jusqu’au 8 novembre 2021, envoyant un message d’espoir insinuant que toutes les ténèbres s’écoulent, les lumières seront jetées et l’espoir sera restauré

 When shadows surround a population bound to find joy in every life, and when darkness prevails over happiness and love, a phoenix emerges, taking the form of an artistic sculpture, spreading light to the souls that lost the meaning of living among the circumstances Lebanon is going through. Art in Motion, the non-profit association which objective is to establish a cultural dialogue through art, in public space, chose light over darkness and decided to lift the spirits of all Lebanese, by organizing “Between shadows and lights”, an exhibition by the renowned sculptor Anachar Basbous, that was inaugurated on October 8, 2021 at Domaine Ixsir.

The exhibition, put in place by Art in Motion, whose sole mission is to instil hope in Lebanese darkened souls, showcased sculptures designed to lift darkness over the beautiful country Lebanon, and to remind the world that this small nation isn’t home to disasters and catastrophes, but rather home to impeccable minds, able to elevate its name high, bringing back the glory of the Lebanese artistic scene

During the vernissage, art enthusiasts wandered the dreamy landscape of Domaine Ixsir, contemplating the sculptures and their meaning on the lush musical sounds of Djette, sipping their drinks over sunset, when all dreams unravel and hopeful wishes emerge

Commenting on the vernissage, Rania Tabbara, Founder of Art in Motion, said, “It is time for us to leave all our sorrows behind and remember that we are the people of hope, resilience and courage. We, Art in Motion, want to remind the Lebanese of their joy of life through this exhibition. Between shadows and lights will bring hope back to the community and our aim is restoring faith in our future

From his end, the sculptor Anachar Basbous described his sculptures saying that “Each stroke of the stone carver is an attempt to carve darkness out of our sad souls. And with each curve, light is shed to put our community back on its feet. My sculptures here today are a reminder that no matter how hard the stone is, a beautiful statue will emerge beautifully at the end

Between Shadows and Lights will remain open for public till November 8, 2021 sending a message that not all darkness remains, but lights will be shed and hope will be restored

  عندما يحيط الظلام بشعبٍ يبحث عن الفرح في كلّ حياة وعندما يتغلّب الظلّ على السعادة والحبّ، ينبثق طائر الفينيق آخذاً شكل منحوتة فنية، من رحم المآسي، ناشراً النور داخل نفوسٍ فقدت معنى الحياة في ظلّ الظروف القاسية التي يمرّ بها لبنان. وقد اختارت Art in Motion، الجمعية غير الربحية التي تهدف إلى إقامة حوار ثقافي من خلال الفن بشكل عام، نشر النور من خلال معرض “بين الظلّ والنور” للنحات أناشار بصبوص، الذي افتُتح في 8 تشرين الأول، 2021 في كروم إكسير.

وعرضت Art in Motion الهادفة إلى زرع الأمل داخل نفوس اللبنانيين، منحوتات صُمّمت خصيصاً لرفع الظلام عن لبنان ولتذكير العالم بأن هذا البلد الصغير الجميل ليس بيتاً للمآسي والكوارث بل حاضناً لعقول ومواهب عظيمة قادرة على رفع اسمه عالياً ومعيدةً المجد اللبناني على الساحة الفنية.

وفي خلال حفل الافتتاح، جال محبّو الفنّ في الكروم الساحرة لإكسير، متأملين المنحوتات والمعاني المخبأة في كل ضربة إزميل على وقع الأنغام الرائعة لـDJette، متلذذين بمشروباتهم على مغيب الشمس حيث تتدفّق الأحلام وتعلو الأماني والآمال.

تعليقاً على الافتتاح، قالت مؤسِّسة Art in Motion، والقيّمة على المعرض رانيا طبّارة: “آن الأوان كي نتخلّى عن مآسينا ونتذكّر أننا شعب الأمل، الصمود والشجاعة. نحن في جمعية Art in Motion، نريد تذكير اللبنانيين بحبّهم للحياة من خلال إقامة المعرض. سيعيد بين الظلّ والنور الأمل إلى المجتمع وهدفنا إعادة ترسيخ إيماننا بالمستقبل”.

من جهته، وصف النحات أناشار بصبوص منحوتاته قائلاً: “كل ضربة إزميل هي محاولة لإزالة الظلام من داخل نفوسنا التعيسة. ومن كل طيّة من طيّات المنحوتة ينبثق نورٌ قوي هدفه إعادة الحياة إلى المجتمع اللبناني. منحوتاتي اليوم هي تذكير بأن الصخور، لو مهما كانت صلبة، ستولّد منحوتة جميلة في نهاية المطاف”.

يستمرّ معرض “بين الظلّ والنور” حتى 8 تشرين الثاني، 2021، باعثاً رسالة بأن الظلام سرعان ما ينجلي والنور لا بدّ أن يلقي أشعّته على بلدنا الموجوع مُعيداً الأمل إلى النفوس الضائعة.
